The colony forming unit (CFU) assay is the gold standard for assessing the functional properties of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) and remains the only in vitro assay that provides a correlative assessment of HSPC engraftment potential in vivo. To this end, the utility of the CFU assay extends from off-target hemotoxicity screening of compounds and biologics, to quantifying the potency of emerging gene-edited HSPC therapies.
In this talk, we will introduce to you STEMCELL’s comprehensive portfolio of reagents, training and services that have been designed and optimized to enable the standardization, validation and implementation of the CFU assay in a variety of contexts.
