Current workflows in cell therapy development and manufacturing are tedious and have fallen short to deliver the promise of accessible, effective and durable treatments, worldwide. Specifically, technologies in cell engineering, a critical step in delivering lifesaving cell therapies, have to date not advanced to meet these needs and have contributed to the slow rate of getting these therapies to market. CellFE’s cellular engineering platform utilizes microfluidics, a game-changer in the industry, that, due to its gentle cell treatment, results in higher yields of transfected cells even with the most complex editing protocols. Here we present a rapid workflow utilizing resting CD3+ T cells that result in high yields of genome-edited cells, with higher degree of stemness that recover more quickly for sequential editing events. Seamless scalability is achieved through microfluidics simply by adding channels, the cell experience and the rapid speed to final product remains the same at any scale, from millions to billions of cells.
