Arising from challenges in centralized manufacturing model such as long lead time from cell collection to administration, decentralized/point-of-care manufacturing model is drawing attention in cell and gene therapy field.
However, many technical and operational challenges remain, such as ensuring consistent product qualities across multiple sites, designating who is in charge of business execution, shortening setup and onboarding time for each site, etc.

Learn about Hitachi’s one-stop solutions from modular cleanrooms, automation equipment, and digital solutions for decentralized/point-of-care manufacturing.
We will also present several case studies to demonstrate partnerships with hospitals/startups to verify and rollout this manufacturing model in Asia and the US.

Session Objectives:
• Challenges in decentralized/point-of-care manufacturing
• Cutting-edge technologies to overcome the challenges in terms of facility, process automation, and data management.
• Potential business schemes/partnership model to take
