Sartorius Presentation: CAR-T Manufacturing Workflow in Stirred-Tank Bioreactors for Allogeneic Production
Friday, May 31, 2024 01:00 PM - 01:30 PM
Exhibit Hall - Theatre B
Global Showcase Presentation
Presenter
  • Pierre Springuel (PhD student), University College London (UCL), UK
  • Julia Hengst, Product Manager Advanced Therapies Sartorius, GERMANY

Despite the demonstrated efficacy of CAR-T cells against haematological malignancies, scalable expansion processes that maximize CAR-T cell growth are required to reduce vein-to-vein time and support increasing demand with regards to allogeneic modalities. In this presentation we will showcase new data on a CAR-T manufacturing workflow in stirred-tank bioreactors for allogeneic production. We will demonstrate how perfusion-based process intensification strategies coupled with Sartorius synergistic technologies can effectively lead to reduction of process time and increase final cell yield, while reducing cost of goods (COGs).
