Starting any company, including one based on university technology, is risky. Learn how to craft policies and licensing terms that stack the odds of success for both the licensee and the licensor and support and protect inventors. This session will explore techniques for establishing royalty ranges, equity stakes, anti-dilution terms and non-financial terms that balance the needs of the startup with the interests and involvement of the institution. Topics will include startup incubation practices and conflict management.
