Advocacy, Equity and Societal Impact

Technology transfer offices are keen to make progress in achieving the balanced representation of all inventors in their tech transfer activities. During this session, we’ll discuss how to analyze and use innovator gender metrics to mitigate underrepresentation. We’ll explore: collecting, analyzing, and tracking data and implementing a range of actions. Learn how to engage more women and underrepresented innovators in a targeted manner, and find out what efforts have worked and what haven’t. Get practical advice on how to select the right kind of programs for your environment, and be successful in implementing EDI-focused efforts without running afoul of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
