This plenary session will provide an overview of current strategies being employed to establish cells with improved characteristics for use in the development of next generation cell-based therapies.

Session Objectives:

1. An understanding of innovative approaches to improve efficacy and diversify utility of cell-based therapies.
2. Apply examples of basic science and clinical applications of novel cell therapy approaches to target diseases with unmet clinical need
3. Evaluate our approaches to drug development and apply technological advancements to improve cell and gene therapy products
