Roundtable Session
Moderator:
  • Fermín Sánchez‐Guijo, MD, PhD, University Hospital of Salamanca, Spain
Panelists:
  • Dominique Farge, MD, PhD, Université Paris-Cité, AP-HP, France
  • Isabel Sánchez-Ortega, MD, PhD, EBMT, Spain
  • Anna Pasetto, PhD, Oslo University Hospital, Norway
The challenges in cell and gene therapy are complex and very varied, the joint alliance between several related societies (e.g. EBMT) is essential to face them, and the positioning articles in the journals that are the official expression of these societies (Cytotherapy in the case of ISCT) are key. All these aspects will be addressed and discussed in this session.

Session Objectives:
  1. Review the main challenges in cell and gene therapy in 2024.
  2. To debate how the different related scientific societies can contribute to solve them together.
  3. Discuss how scientific journals that are official expression of these societies (e.g. Cytotherapy, Bone Marrow Transplantation, etc.) are key to address these challenges in position papers or guidelines.
