Oracle EBS and Oracle HCM are designed to be stable systems of record, but they are often forced to absorb custom workflows, approvals, and user interactions that go beyond core functionality. Over time, this slows delivery, increases customization risk, and makes even small changes expensive. This session shows how Oracle APEX can act as a modern front-end layer for extending EBS and HCM without modifying or competing with the core systems. It explores using APEX to deliver responsive web applications for task-driven workflows, while integrating securely through database access, REST APIs, or OCI services. Attendees will learn how separating front-end workflows from the ERP core accelerates delivery and preserves long-term supportability.

Learning Objective 1: Identify workflow, approval, and user-interaction use cases that are better handled in Oracle APEX rather than embedded directly within Oracle EBS or Oracle HCM screens.
Learning Objective 2: Understand how Oracle APEX can deliver modern web experiences, while EBS and HCM remain authoritative systems of record.
Learning Objective 3: Evaluate integration patterns that allow APEX to extend EBS and HCM cleanly while maintaining security, supportability, and separation of responsibilities.
