Team and project leader with 15 years of experience in R&D across academia and cell and gene therapy industry. I lead a variety of industrial R&D projects encompassing viral vectors production and characterisation, T cell immunotherapy, and pluripotent stem cells engineering and differentiation. My expertise includes analytical development, multi-omics data generation and analysis, CRISPR/Cas gene editing, and smart bioprocessing. I am passionate about leveraging cell engineering technologies to address current challenges in CGT manufacturing and implement innovative solutions to increase patient access to therapies.
I hold a PhD from Max-Planck Institute (Germany) for Immunology and Epigenetics, which I followed up with a postdoc at Oxford University (UK), both focussing on molecular mechanisms for epigenetics and transcriptional regulation of gene expression.
I am an active member of the International Society of Cell Therapy (ISCT), contributing to its growth and impact. As a selected participant in the Leadership Development program, I serve on the ISCT Industry Committee, playing a role in shaping events, selecting speakers, and collaborating on white papers to advance industry knowledge and expertise.
