Konstantina Katcheves MS, JD Vice President, Business Development Bristol-Myers Squibb USA


Konstantina Katcheves is Vice President, Business Development, Innovative Technologies and Intercontinental Search at Bristol Myers Squibb. In this role, she leads all business development activities for new technologies, including early discovery partnerships, platform collaborations, digital innovation, precision medicine and cell and gene therapy technologies. She also leads regional search teams outside the United States and is responsible for business development in Japan and China. Konstantina joined Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) in October 2020.



Konstantina has more than twenty years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, and intellectual property. With a background in technology, business development and licensing, she strengthens BMS’s efforts to accelerate the discovery of new, innovative medicines from across the globe and supports BMS’s regional market teams in establishing and maintaining strategic external partnerships and collaborations. She is inspired by BMS’s mission to deliver innovative medicines to patients with serious diseases.



Prior to joining BMS, Konstantina held a number of leadership positions as both a lawyer and a business development leader, including Vice President of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Agilent Technologies and Vice President of Global Intellectual Property and Licensing at Lonza. Prior to these roles, she was a founding partner of the intellectual property group and business development chair at Saul Ewing LLP.



Konstantina holds a M.S. in Biotechnology from the Johns Hopkins University, J.D. from the University of Oklahoma, and B.S. in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California at San Diego.
