Kunihiko Suzuki is one of business leaders in Regenerative Medicine/Cell & Gene Therapy space in Japan. While Kuni. started his business career at US oil company (Exxon) in and spent circa. 20 years at one of Japanese financial institutions in the areas of investment banking in Tokyo, commercial banking in London and trust banking in Luxembourg, Kuni. moved in the space of RM/CGT in 2006 (MEDINET Co., Ltd. – immune-cell therapies and CDMO) as one of management team (Member of the Board, CBO, CEO and others). As the additional activities, Kuni. played as one of the establishing committee members at FIRM (Forum for Innovative Regenerative Medicine, an industrial advocacy group, similar entity to ARM, Alliance for Regenerative Medicine) and is participating as Member of the Board and Vice Chair since 2014, and a leader at Specific Cell-based Products Working Group in April 2021 at FIRM. In April 2020, Kuni. started as a Member at Bio-Industry Subcommittee, Commerce, Distribution and Information Committee, Industrial Structure Council at METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) to issue the report, “Fifth Industrial Revolution” cultivated with Biotechnology. In addition, Kuni. played as one of Co-Chair of Organising Committee at ISCT Melbourne 2019, and also serves as ISCT Regional Treasurer, Asia 2020-2023. In December 2020, Kuni. started as an Advisor to Cyfuse Biomedical K.K., a company to make regenerative medical products with using its own unique 3D bio-printing technology, called KENZAN method, and started to serve as the Member of the Board in March, 2021. In April, 2022, Kuni, Started his activities a Strategic Advisor for Nexredge Inc, which specialises in consulting services for GMP manufacturing and business development for CGT, drugs and medical devices sectors. In June, 2022, Kuni. has got his position as Corporate Auditor at CellFiber Co., Ltd., which provides cell-fiber technologies in manufacturing process for cell and gene therapies. Moreover, Kuni. Become one of the associate members for Cell One Partners located in NY, US to proceed the projects primarily relating to Japan/Asia markets of RM/CGT in May, 2021.
