Prof. Pompilio served as first operator for adult cardiac surgery at Centro Cardiologico Monzino IRCCS since 1996. His surgical records include more than 1600 procedures. Since 2006, he runs the program of minimally invasive coronary surgery (MIDCAB) with more than 120 procedures performed. His surgical interests also include complex mitral valve repair operations, reconstruction of the ascending aorta and off-pump coronary surgery. Morover, Prof. Pompilio has performed about 150 major vascular surgery procedures as first operator, including carotid, aortic and peripheral cases.
