Gloria Carmona is the Scientific Coordinator of the Andalusian Network for the design and translation of Advance Therapies (a position she has held in February 2023), organization where she has been working since 2008. She has professional experience related to the health sector and specifically in the field of advanced therapies medicinal products. Since 2008 she has worked in the coordination of the Andalusian GMP Network, part of Andalusian Healthcare System, with solid experience in team management and coordinating, and has participated in the authorisation of the 14 products currently in the portfolio (such as artificial veins, artificial skin or CART cells). She has extensive experience in teaching coordination and participation as a speaker at national and international congresses. Since 2021, she is participating as Elected member technologist in the Board of Directors of the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy. She is also currently Qualified Person of the GMP laboratory of the Cell Production and Reprogramming Unit in Seville, a GMP facility in which several advanced therapy products of great interest to Andalusia are authorised.
