 Adrian Rich is a Principal and Managing Partner with Simple Technology Solutions, Inc where he spearheads STS’ practice for Department of Homeland Security subject matter expertise consulting.  Mr. Rich has grown a unique consulting practice based on detailed DHS mission knowledge, deep knowledge of DHS IT enterprise architecture and federal business development/capture expertise.

Mr. Rich's has had a broad array of experiences across his 18 year career.   He started in Baltimore as a Special Education teacher; served as the executive assistant/technology advisor to the Superintendent for Special Education; and ended his tenure with Baltimore City schools as a senior technology manager and special assistant to the Chief Information Officer.  Continuing in the technology leadership arena, Mr. Rich then served as Director of Technology for his high school alma mater, Loyola Blakefield in Towson, Maryland.  He later held posts as a national director of implementation for 4GL School Solutions, as a freelance IT Project Management consultant through a company he founded, Askia Business Solutions.

Mr. Rich then came into the federal arena leading major software development and business intelligence programs at the Transportation Security Administration while serving as Vice President of Professional Services & Business Development at Enterprise Solutions Realized.  Most recent, Mr. Rich was a Senior Director of Business Development at General Dynamics Information Technology.  At GDIT he was responsible for understanding DHS mission needs and sharing GDIT’s solution capabilities.

Mr. Rich is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and currently resides in Bowie, Maryland with his 4 kids.  He has an undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary and holds advanced degrees from Morgan State & Johns Hopkins Universities.   Mr. Rich is also very active in various civic activities: coaching in the Bowie Boys and Girls Club, “Ambassador” of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture as well as recently serving as a Vice President/Treasurer of local PTA and sitting on the DC Leadership Council of the Posse Foundation [www.possfoundation.org].
