Charles currently holds several positions. He is a Vice-President at the Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI), where he has worked for 26 years and is the CEO of two OBI spin out organization. One of the spinout companies created a network of independent blood centers to contract and collaborate to provide leukopacks, bone marrow, cord tissue, manufacturing, and laboratory services for the cell therapy industry. The other company has patents pending using new methods to create human serum, platelet rich plasma, fibronectin and feeder cells from abundant source raw materials. Charles is a subject matter expert in quality systems and regulations and donor screening and selection.
