Honami Naora PhD Professor University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston USA


Dr. Honami Naora obtained her PhD degree in Medical Sciences from the Australian National University in Canberra, and performed postdoctoral training at the Pasteur Institute in Paris and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. She has been a faculty member of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center since 2002. Research in the Naora Laboratory is directed to investigating bidirectional communication between cancer cells and stromal cells, with a focus on delineating the molecular mechanisms and cell dynamics that control metastasis of ovarian cancer. Dr. Naora has extensively served on NIH study sections and review panels of other funding agencies. She also currently serves as Co-Director of the Cancer Biology Program at the MD Anderson Cancer Center/UT Health Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Science.
