Olesia Gololobova, MEng, PhD, is a faculty member in the lab of Dr. Kenneth Witwer at Johns Hopkins University. She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry, with her research focused on studying the optical and mechanical properties of nanoparticles. Prior to her position at the JHU School of Medicine, she was engaged in managing a cutting-edge Nanoparticle Characterization Core Facility. There, she specialized in the comprehensive characterization of biological materials, with a primary focus on extracellular vesicles (EVs). Currently, Olesia's research is dedicated to advancing the field through the development and application of innovative analytical techniques. Her primary interest lies in investigating extracellular vesicles and particles as potential biomarkers for neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders.
