Melba Marie Page PhD Analytical Laboratory (QC) Manager Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute USA

My name is Melba Marie Page. I received my PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in Cellular and Molecular Pathology with an emphasis in immunology, and completed my Post Doctoral Fellowship at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center with an emphasis in Cancer Immunology. My academic career was followed by working at a startup, where our work focused on aiding big pharma and other startups define leading immuno-oncology drugs in their IO pipelines and provide pre-clinical data on the drugs’ potential mechanism of action. Together, this background led me back to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer center, where I first came back as supervisor, and am now the Analytical Quality Control Manager at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center’s Cell Therapy Core Facility for nearly three years. This experience has allowed me to be able to be part of a leading team at Moffitt’s Cell Therapy Core Facility, where together, we work with the manufacturing team, and with internal Principal Investigators and outside Stakeholders on tech transferred assays, or assay development for their pre-clinical, and Clinical Phase I/Phase II trials. The opportunity to be part of treating patients everyday at Moffitt is my scientific motivation and drive.
