At Purespring Therapeutics I am responsible for the preclinical research of the current lead program, working with a talented team that aims at developing gene therapy treatments for glomerular kidney diseases. I leverage the experience gained across three countries -Italy, UK and France- where I studied the mechanisms of cell transduction by AAV vectors and contributed to the development of Gene Therapy treatment options for multiple diseases, including Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), cancer, and, last but not least, the field I am currently focusing on, kidney diseases, in which Purespring is paving the way to treat patients in the clinics.
