I am a hematologist with experience in hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), as well as cellular and gene therapy (CT/GT), since my specialty training at Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona. Upon completing my training, I spent 12 years working in the HCT/CT unit at the Institut Català d’Oncologia (ICO) in Barcelona. During this time, I also served as a principal investigator (PI) for numerous HCT trials and participated as a PI in European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) academic trials, including the successful RACE trial for aplastic anemia. My contributions to the field include co-authoring peer-reviewed scientific publications and chapters in clinical and EBMT handbooks. I am an active member of the EBMT, European Hematology Association (EHA), Spanish Society of Hematology and Hemotherapy (SEHH), and the Spanish Group for Hematopoietic Transplantation (GETH). In March 2020, I transitioned to a role as Medical Officer at EBMT, where I focus on HCT and cellular and gene therapy data, studies, projects and education.
