Benj Klapholz Principal Scientist, Technology Development bit.bio Cambridge

"Benj Klapholz is a researcher with a strong background in genetics and molecular biology. His PhD research (Institut Curie, Paris) concentrated on chromatin assembly during DNA replication and his postdoc (Gurdon Institute, University of Cambridge) focussed on the molecular mechanisms of integrin-mediated cell adhesion.
In 2017, Benj made a shift to the biotech industry, where he has been applying his knowledge to genome engineering and synthetic biology. His work has contributed to advancing genome editing techniques in several biotech companies.
Since joining bit.bio in 2020, he has been leading the technology development efforts for commercial and clinical-grade induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) engineering."
