I completed my medical studies at the Medical University of Vienna where I also received my clinical training. For many years, I was a fellow at the bone marrow transplantation unit and the ICU. I completed my special education in transfusion medicine and serve as the medical director of the tissue & cell collection and processing facility and the therapeutic apheresis unit and the Medical University of Vienna. In 2018, I joined Prof. Ulrike Köhl’s GMP development unit at Hannover Medical School and Fraunhofer institute in Leipzig to get expertise in CAR-T cell manufacturing and since 2019 I am the head of ATMP manufacturing at our department.
Since 2016, I am sub-investigator in several clinical CAR-T cell trials and responsible for collection of starting materials also for all approved CART products available in our hospital.
I have been associated with JACIE since 2002 and am a member of the JACIE executive committee and national representative.
