Carole Moukheiber is a Viral Safety expert with over 20 years of experience, both in competent authorities and industry, in the development of biological medicinal products, including biotechnology products (recombinant products such as monoclonal antibodies) and cell/gene therapy products.
Carole holds a Pharmacy Doctorate from Paris University.
She began her career at the French Competent Authority (ANSM), where she was in charge of the Viral Safety assessment of new biologic medicinal products. She took part in experts working groups dedicated to viral safety topics (such as emerging viruses, viral contaminations of raw materials and medicines) and contributed to the drafting of several guidance documents on viral safety topics.
After 13 years with the health authorities, Carole moved to the industry sector and joined Servier in 2013. She is the Viral Safety Leader, in charge of the viral safety strategy for biotechnology recombinant products and CAR-T cells products. She is a member of the Viral Safety Experts Group for the revision of ICH Q5A guideline pertaining to the viral safety evaluation of biotechnology products.
Further, Carole is a member of T² EVOLVE (European Union’s Innovative Medicines Initiative to accelerate the development of T-cell therapies) and is involved in external groups (AVDTIG) on NGS (Next Generation Sequencing).
