Panelists
Julie Annis, MLS(ASCP)CM, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, USA
Kathryn Bushnell, MSHS, MLS(ASCP), CABP(AABB), Children's National Hospital, USA
Wesley McKinney, BSc, Baylor College of Medicine, USA
Many stem cell processing labs have evolved from performing routine procedures (RBC depletion, cryo, etc) to perform more complex procedures like CD34 selection and TCR ab/CD19 depletion. And now many even handle cryo/shipment/receipt and storage of licensed products and late-phase products. This session will discuss what these new responsibilities are and how they are handled

Session Objectives
- Understand the role of CTL in the current CT arena – present and future
- Discuss the changes occurring in the CT field and how those are affecting CTL – e.g. gene therapies
- Describe challenges the CTL are facing with the evolving field of CT – workforce, accreditation, audits
